MY message to you
Bringing -any- shear or handmade knife back to factory sharp requires a Master Sharpener with extensive training, a very expensive water-cooled “flat hone” machine, and a library of Japanese water stones. This work is done entirely by hand, and the amount of steel removed is microscopic.
I’m equipped with the most high-tech and traditional sharpening gear, and do all my work right in your salon. Each shear is not only sharpened, but custom fitted to your grip and your cutting style - then polished and tuned as you like it before I feel ready to leave.
Never allow anyone without such training and equipment to touch your shears. Taking them to any kind of grinding machine or buffing wheel will take years, or even decades, off the life of your valuable tools.
Treated carefully, your scissors will thus stay sharp and finely-tuned for a long time after I touch them. And give you many decades of loving service.
Shears ruined by bad sharpening, dropped, perhaps a bent texturizer? No worries, I take these problem shears right back to factory condition with just a little extra effort.
